A Diet That Works – part 3
It takes a lot of effort to get and stay in good physical shape. The same is true with your spiritual shape:
#1 Solitude – Spend time alone to be with God.
#2 Silence – Remove noisy distractions to hear from God.
#3 Fasting – Skipping a meal(s) to find greater nourishment form God.
Choose a period of time to go without food. Drink water, and if necessary, take vitamin supplements. Feel the pain of having an empty stomach and depend on God to fill you with His grace.
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
The Point Is: A hungry need is a dangerous need, unless your hunger is for God.
Prayer: “Lord, it’s good to know, as tired as I am right now, that weariness has never been a problem for You, for You are the sustainer of my life! Thank you!”
