How To Be Positive In A Negative World – part 1
One of the most common complaints in the world today is negativity. Cynicism can take over a life, a home, and a church. Let’s take a look at some pointers to help reduce tension and increase a positive outlook on life:
#1 Don’t add fuel to the negativity fire.
Negativity starts like a small fire and soon rages throughout your life, home and church. Choose not to add fuel. Instead, change the mood by saying something positive. If you find the negativity and cynicism getting to you, leave the room, or find another conversation. If you want to be brave, tell people why you are leaving or changing the subject!
“Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.”
First Word Principle: “Avoid negativity! Be a leader and make being positive your priority!”
Prayer: “Lord, today help me to remember that having a positive attitude isn’t just something I feel, or even something I think about ~ it’s something I do.”
