Why am I afraid? – part 1
Fear is something that we all have dealt with in one form or another. Over the next few weeks, we’re going to take a look at how we can change fear to faith.
- “I don’t know what’s going to happen.”
Why do we have such a hard time remembering that we can trust God to be in control of every situation in our lives - including our fears? Our word “trust” comes from the Indo-European root word meaning “to be solid”. God is solid...God is worthy of our trust and we can trust God to take away any fear we have, and help us to deal with it.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV): “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
The Point Is: Remember God is in control of today and tomorrow.
Prayer: “Lord, today I’m fearful, but I am going to trust You to help me. Remind me that You are always with me and that You are in control of my life and my situations.”
