A Diet That Works – part 12

By incorporating these 12 Ways To Improve Your Spiritual Life into your life, they will become more than a habit...they will become a lifestyle.

#1 Solitude – Spending time alone to be with God.
#2 Silence – Removing noisy distractions to hear from God.
#3 Fasting – Skipping a meal(s) to find greater nourishment form God.
#4 Frugality – Learning to live with less money and still meet your basic needs.
#5 Secrecy – Avoiding self-promotion, practice serving God without others knowing.
#6 Sacrifice – Giving of our resources beyond what seems reasonable to remind us of our dependence on Christ.
#7 Study – Spending time ready the Scriptures and meditating on its meaning and importance to our lives.
#8 Worship – Offering praise and adoration to God.
#9 Prayer – Talking to and listening to God about your relationship with Him and about the concerns of others.
#10 Fellowship – Mutual caring and ministry in the body of Christ.
#11 Confession – Regularly confess your sins to the Lord and another trusted individual.

#12 Submission – Humble yourself before God and others while seeking accountability in relationships.

Find faithful brothers or sisters in Christ who can lovingly hold you accountable for your actions and growth in Christ. It starts by taking your eyes off yourself and putting them on God.

Ephesians 4:2(NIV)
“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”

The Point Is: Submission is living unselfishly before God and others.

Prayer: “Help me this week, to learn to walk by the Spirit, so that every moment of my day is spent in submission to You committed to doing Your will.”
