Knowing God’s Will – part 3
The Bible says that God wants us to know and understand His will for our life. Sometimes, after we have admitted that we need help and have asked God for help, we think that is all there is to it – we say “Amen” to our prayer and walk away. Problem solved. All the while God is waiting patiently for us to just be still and…
– Listen for God’s response.
This is where a lot of us get off track. The truth is, we’re too busy to listen for God’s response. God is speaking and He’s designed you and I to be able to tune into and hear His voice. One of the ways God speaks to us is through the Bible. How long has it been since you opened your Bible, read a passage of scripture and just waited for His response?
Job 33:13-14 (NIV) – “Why do you complain to Him that He responds to no one’s words? For God does speak – now one way, now another – though no one perceives it.”
The Point Is: God’s will and response can be found in God’s Word.
Prayer: “Help me, Lord, to be still and quiet long enough to actually hear from You!”
